Paris-based video indexing and analysis startup Newsbridge has landed a €1.5 million funding round led by Elaia.

Newsbridge’s product is targeting journalists, audiovisual production companies, and digital rights holders. The company claims that it can reduce the production costs by 30 to 80 percent by providing a more efficient way of finding and selecting the sequences of interest rather than checking the ones that have no value.

The startup has a team of 14 people, eight of whom are engineers and researchers. The list of its clients includes audiovisual production groups Groupe TF1 and Groupe M6, TV channels LCI and France Télévisions, as well as sports rights holders like FFR and Adidas.
