tech.eu is a growing online media and market intelligence company that aims to inform and educate professionals about the European technology industry through data-driven reports, news articles, opinion pieces, podcasts and regular e-mail newsletters.
You may know this already, given that you're reading this on our website.
But you may not know that we are currently looking for a journalist to join our editorial team (no fixed location, but preferably in Brussels or one of Europe's main startup hubs: London, Paris, Berlin or Stockholm).
This is a great role for someone with 1-3 years of relevant work experience - a big plus if he or she is already self-employed - who is passionate about European technology, startups and innovation, and loves to write (a lot, and preferably fast).
The ideal person for this position is a native English speaker/writer with excellent reporting skills and solid grounding in business analysis fundamentals, who thrives when working autonomously, and can turn in various types of online copy quickly and cleanly; a strong social media presence and grasp on SEO is also desirable.
Her is his main workload will be researching for, writing and publishing European tech news articles, with the occasional interview, technology startup profile or sponsored report added to the mix. The perfect candidate will also represent tech.eu offline at various industry events as a speaker, moderator or interviewer, which means previous experience on stage would be a definite plus.
This is a great opportunity for someone who can work independently, loves to learn and can handle herself or himself in a fast-paced environment within a 'virtual office' and team.
She or he would also need to expect to have lots of fun.
If this sounds like you, let's have a talk about what tech.eu can offer you and what you bring to the table. Please contact me ([email protected]) with a good mood and some compelling arguments, preferably before 15 April as we're looking to hire someone as quickly as possible.
And feel free to share!
