Belgian IT company Realdolmen acquired by Gfi Informatique for €196 million

Publicly-listed Belgian IT company Realdolmen has been acquired by French software firm Gfi Informatique for €196 million. The deal is in cash for all outstanding shares at €37 per share.

Realdolmen, founded in 1986, develops ICT solutions in various sectors and businesses including IoT and serves more than a thousand customers in Belgium and Luxembourg. According to Gfi Informatique, the deal will help the French company strengthen its place in these two markets as part of its international strategy.

“With the support of Realdolmen executive leadership, the combination of our respective operations and our complementary portfolios gives us the potential to create a mid-market champion in Europe,” said Vincent Rouaix, chairman and CEO of Gfi Informatique.

“ will allow us to lever our complementary portfolios and build on Realdolmen’s strengths to serve mid-size companies. The price offered represents a significant premium on the historical share price of the company,” added Henri Van Engelen, chairman of the board of directors at Realdolmen.
