French presentation creator Bunkr has been acquired by social media monitoring and analytics platform Synthesio.

Founded in France by Alexis Jamet and Edouard Petit in 2012, Bunkr aims to allow users to create beautiful and interactive presentations in a way that's more efficient than Powerpoint. Synthesio has been using Bunkr to create its own business reports for years now, and decided to acquire the company to use the same technology for its own product.

Bunkr had been looking for acquirers, as the product wasn't proving to be profitable: “Our clients had some issues when it comes to handing out data to a third-party company, especially customer data. It wasn’t a priority in their roadmaps as well. We knew it was going to be a tough sell. So we thought there would be an interesting opportunity if we could sell the company," Bunkr co-founder and CMO Edouard Petit told TechCrunch.

The details of the deal have not been disclosed.
