Dutch startup United Wardrobe, an online marketplace and social network for second-hand clothing, has raised €1 million from Peak Capital.
The marketplace has seen users buy and sell more than 750,000 garments, the Utrecht-based company said, with social features for following different vendors and sharing favourites with friends with controls in place to prevent scams. It has 1.1 million users.
The new funds will be invested in its international rollout, said cofounder Sjuul Berden, to connect buyers around Europe.
The marketplace has seen strong growth and potential to work in other countries, said Johan van Mil, managing partner at Peak Capital.
