Berlin-based fleet management software startup Vimcar lands $13 million in Series B funding

Vimcar, a Berlin-based startup that is developing a SaaS/IoT solution for efficient fleet management, today announced their $13 million Series B round.

The financing round was led by Acton Capital with participation from existing investors Coparion, UVC Partners and Atlantic Labs. The company has previously raised about $7 million.

The fresh cash will be used to accelerate development, sales and marketing, to expand its product offerings, but also to explore entering new markets outside of Germany.

Vimcar originally launched with a pure mileage-logging product, but has since extended its offering with a dynamic fleet management platform, designed for the needs of SMEs.

To date, the startup has connected more than 50,000 cars thanks to a couple of major customers such as Allianz, Zalando, Ford, Adecco and Deutsche Bahn.
