Dutch-founded education startup Growth Tribe has announced the opening of three new “academies” in Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Helsinki under its franchise, in addition to an existing campus in Amsterdam and an office in London. The company claims to be the first “academy” in Europe to deliver courses in growth hacking and AI for growth and marketing.
Launched in Amsterdam in 2015, Growth Tribe has trained more than 4,000 people and 700 companies in various digital skills. Its offering ranges from two-day crash courses to six-week evening courses, priced anywhere from €1,297 to €2,279, as well as six-month paid traineeships.
“Universities build a curriculum and change it every 3-4 years, online courses build a curriculum and update it yearly,” said says Peter van Sabben of CEO of Growth Tribe. “We update our training every two weeks. Just like code has developed ‘continuous deployment’, we have created ‘continuous curriculum deployment’.”
With the new “academies” opening in the Nordics, Growth Tribe “aims to educate Europe on digital leadership to catch up with US and China,” the company stated in a press release. It also plans to expand to seven European countries in the next two years.
“We use a franchise model to keep the control of the quality of the training,” van Sabben told tech.eu. “Our trainers fly in for the courses and responsible for sales and marketing. In this, way we can open three countries at the same time. We've 25 trainers full-time at Growth Tribe, from the total of 60 employees. By end of this year, we expect to have 80 employees, with 35 full-time trainers.”
Currently, Growth Tribe employs some 60 people. Anssi Rantanen has been appointed the CEO for Growth Tribe Finland, Pia Ella Elmegard and Lasse Grosen will be the CEOs for Growth Tribe Denmark, and Jonas Brogger and Peter Ingman will head Growth Tribe Sweden.
