DigitalGenius raises $14.75 million for its AI for customer service

UK AI startup DigitalGenius, which makes software for customer service use cases, has raised $14.75 million. The Series A round was led by Global Founders.

A number of other funds participated in the round: MMC Ventures, Paua Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Runa Capital, RRE Ventures, Lumia Capital, Compound, and Lerer Hippeau Ventures. This brings its total funding to $26 million.

The London-based company creates AI-powered deep learning tools for the customer service sector. Its clients include KLM, Unilever, and Eurostar and it is stepping into government partnerships as well. The fresh round of funding will be used to further commercialise its product offerings.

It has appointed Roque Versace (former VP of corporate sales at Salesforce and head of SaaS sales at Intel) as chief revenue officer to help drive the company’s growth forward.

“Our technology works as an intelligence layer on top of existing customer service platforms to automate and significantly speed up case resolution, transforming the way work is being done in contact centres,” said Dmitry Aksenov, CEO of DigitalGenius.
