Venture capital firm Target Global is opening a Berlin office to hone in on its European investments, particularly Germany and Israel, but also North America. The office will be led by general partners Yaron Valler and Shmuel Chafets.
Valler and Chafets joined the firm last year after leading investments such as Delivery Hero and iZettle respectively. With the opening of this new office, Target Global has already led seed investments in German startups Clark, Nestpick, and McMakler as well as Israel’s Missbeez. The company has previously invested in Delivery Hero, GoEuro, Book A Tiger, and Dreamlines and currently manages more than $300 million in assets.
The opening of the Berlin office is the next step in Target Global spreading its global network, said Alexander Frolov, partner. It also has offices in Moscow, Tel Aviv, and San Francisco.
“With investors of the quality of Yaron and Shmuel running the office we are confident that our investors will secure opportunities to back the finest European startups.”
“What Target Global offers to the European venture capital industry is experience and connection to the most interesting start-up market outside of the Valley, Israel, which boasts a remarkable concentration of talent and breadth of innovation,” said Chafets.
