Swedish Bambuser, a b2b live mobile video platform founded in 2008, raised $1.5 million in new funding from investors, including Avicii Music.

The investment will be used to support the growth of an international sales team and enable the expansion of Bambuser's Iris platform to new markets in Europe and North America. It will also enable the company to expand by launching the second generation of the Iris platform, which provides mobile live video streaming.

Bambuser’s proprietary technology and products allows developers, organisations and brands to integrate live broadcasting and viewing directly into their workflow or mobile app experience, in a seamless, customisable and cost-effective way.

Bambuser's mobile technology is installed on over 60 million devices worldwide, and its proven ability to grow and perform has attracted a high level of interest in this round of investment.

"Live video broadcasting is one of the fastest growing forms of communication and the opportunities it offers are endless," said Jonas Vig, CEO of Bambuser.

"Thanks to our robust technology, smart design and end-to-end solution we aim to unlock that potential and become a technology leader by making mobile video livestreaming easily accessible to a greater number of people including organisations, and now, the developer community," added Vig.
