Finnish mobile gaming company Armada Interactive completed another seed round of $7 million. This comes after raising $3 million in April 2016, bringing the total raised to $10 million. Korea Investment Partners led the current round, with participation from Creandum and existing investors Initial Capital, Index Ventures, PROfounders Capital and Backed VC.
Armada plans to use the funds to expand internationally and continue developing its mobile games, which focus on player-versus-player and eSports.
“This investment enables us to bolster our international team with exceptional talent and provides significant resources for future game launches," said Samuli Syvähuoko, co-founder and CEO of Armada Interactive, in a statement. "Our core mission is to deliver truly innovative global gaming experiences that will attract a large player following in both Asian and Western markets. Korea Investment Partners will be a key strategic partner as we execute this plan."
“Armada Interactive has assembled an incredible team with a global vision and a radically new mobile gaming experience," added Sang-Ho Park, Executive Director at Korea Investment Partners.
