Finnish publicly-listed cybersecurity firm F-Secure has acquired British IT security consultants Digital Assurance to boost its portfolio of UK clients. No terms for the deal were disclosed.
Digital Assurance provides security testing and evaluation services for organisations’ devices and systems as well as policy and risk assessment consulting. The team will bring to F-Secure knowledge of cybersecurity challenges in the UK, said Jens Thonke, executive vice president of F-Secure’s Cyber Security Services, and help the Finnish company meet the “ever-increasing demand for cyber security services.”
The London-based consultancy works with governments and clients in sectors including finance, petrochemical, retail, communication, and defence. It will join F-Secure’s Cyber Security Services business unit.
According to the Finnish company, the acquisition will have no material impact on its 2017 financial outlook.
This is F-Secure’s third acquisition of the year so far. In April it bought Little Flocker, the macOS security software from cybersecurity veteran Jonathan Zdziarski (who’s now with Apple) while in February it scooped up Italian security startup Inverse Path.
