Amsterdam-based HotelChamp, a marketing and sales service for hotels, has raised €2.25 million in further funding, bringing its total seed funding to €4 million.
The investment was led by angel investors including WeTransfer founder Nalden (born Ronald Hans) and Phillippe de Knijff and Jolanda Degen of WorldTicketCenter. The startup previously raised €1.75 million in August of last year.
Hotelchamp’s platform was built to allow hotels to drive more direct bookings on their websites. It’s currently used by more than 1,000 hotels. This additional tranche of seed funding will be used to further develop the use of AI on the platform, according to the company, as well as boost the overall growth of Hotelchamp.
“As a hyper growth company, this investment welcomes the opportunity for driving further growth within the company and assists us in the greater development of our platform,” said Kristian Valk, CEO of Hotelchamp. “We’re focused on improving guest relations and increasing profitability for hotels. Hotelchamp’s end-goal is to create a sustainable hotel industry to gain back control over their revenue, while guests get the value for money they deserve.”
