1) HelloFresh, the German meal delivery company, said on Tuesday that it planned to raise up to $352 million in an initial public offering in Frankfurt.

2) The European Commission has published its first annual report on the functioning of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, the aim of which is to protect the personal data of anyone in the EU transferred to companies in the United States for commercial purposes.

3) Draper Esprit, the London- and Dublin-based VC firm, has announced that it will invest up to $100 million in seed funds across Europe over the next five years. Thus far, the VC firm has committed to investing in Seedcamp and Episode 1 Ventures and previously invested in equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs and Crowdcube.

4) Uber’s European policy chief Christopher Burghardt has quit to join the electric vehicle charging network company Chargepoint.

5) US-based learning platform Chegg announced that it has acquired Cogeon, a German provider of adaptive math technology and developer of the math app Math42.

6) Guardian Media Group has announced plans to launch a new, independent £42 million venture capital fund - GMG Ventures.

7) Germany's Movinga, a platform for moving services, has raised €22 million from a number of investors.

8) London-based delivery service Jinn has permanently closed — leaving couriers concerned about being paid the wages they're due.

9) StarTec, a payments firm from Hamburg, has been acquired by Heidelberg-based Heidelpay for an undisclosed amount. StarTec provides cashless point-of-sale (POS) solutions and will be integrated into the Heidelpay portfolio of online and offline payment services.

10) Dutch startup Bolt Mobility, which builds electric scooters, has raised €3 million through equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs.
