German marketing tech startup uberall raises $25 million

Berlin’s uberall, a marketing tech startup, has closed a Series B round of $25 million led by HPE Growth Capital with participation from Project A and United Internet.

The company develops SaaS-based location marketing and data management software to help businesses convert online information into offline sales. According to data from Google, four in five consumers use search engines to find local businesses and products with about half going to those businesses within 24 hours.

uberall has partnerships in place with more than a hundred other platforms and its clients include Domino’s, Deutsche Post DHL Group, Intercontinental Hotels Group, and Deutsche Telekom.

The new funds will be used for further product development as well as expansion in the US and other international markets; the company has offices in Paris, San Francisco, and Cape Town.

“The funding shows that it’s time for further growth and we’re very happy to have the HPE team on board, the perfect partner to realize our ambitious goals,” said co-CEO David Federhen.

“The company has built a comprehensive cloud platform for digital location marketing that caters to the needs of both, large enterprises with thousands of locations as well as SME clients, which is a very large and attractive market,” added HPE’s Manfred Krikke.
