French industrial software startup Ermeo raises €2.5 million

French startup Ermeo, which develops software for industrial maintenance, has raised €2.5 million from Hi Inov, SNCF Digital Ventures, Partech Ventures, and Axeleo Capital.

The software collects data on and monitors maintenance requirements in industrial equipment. The company’s CEO is a former maintenance engineer at French rail network SNCF, which has now invested in the company. Managing maintenance was a largely paper-based process before but as we transition to Industry 4.0, more data is generated through IoT devices and sensors.

The investment will be used to bolster its position in France and expand internationally. It plans to double the size of its team next year to 50. It has clients from the transport, construction, and energy sectors, including French energy utility Engie and food services firm Sodexo.
