Swedish startup Impactpool raises €715,000 to connect talent with NGOs

Swedish startup Impactpool, which matches NGOs with talented job seekers around the world, has raised €715,000. The round was led by Lexis Invest, a major owner of Nextory, along with previous investors. The business angel Staffan Ingeborn, who runs Innovation Capital, also invested in the company for the first time.

"We saw a huge interest from top talent all over the world to work for organizations that want to make a positive impact," said CEO and co-founder Magnus Bucht. "We saw that there was a lack of a good platform that could support candidates in finding relevant opportunities in these kinds of organizations and companies. That's why we started ImpactPool in 2015, and we immediately got lots of traction and since then have grown quite fast, with 325,000 members from every corner of the world." The platform continues to grow rapidly, with 2,000-5,000 new members each week.

The investment will be used to further develop Impactpool's matching service, which streamlines the recruitment process for international organizations so that they can find and recruit the right talent to solve global challenges.

The startup already works with some of the world's most influential organizations including UNHCR, UNICEF, Save The Children, and the Red Cross, and some of the world's renowned universities. In addition to non-profit organizations, there are a growing number of social enterprises and for profit organizations that have as their core mission to contribute to something positive, according to Bucht.
