Tel Aviv-based startup SeeTree has come out of stealth mode with an $11.5 million Series A funding round led by Hanaco Ventures, with participation from existing investors, including Canaan Partners Israel, Uri Levine, iAngel, and Mindset. This round brings the total amount raised by the company to $15 million.
SeeTree has developed what it calls “the world's first intelligence network for trees,” which in practical terms means a comprehensive solution for permanent crop growers to monitor their trees. SeeTree receives information from three different sources: drone imagery, underground sensors, and rangers on the ground who take samples for further analysis.
The Israel-based startup claims to have partnered with several corporates across the world. The company has additional offices in California and Brazil and employs a total of 40 people.
