NordicNinja launches a €100 million VC fund to invest in the Nordics and Baltics

NordicNinja VC has launched a €100 million VC fund in partnership with Panasonic, Honda, Omron, and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), to invest in scale-ups in the Nordics and Baltics. The fund will also focus on helping the startups to enter the ecosystems in Japan and across Asia.

The new fund will write checks from €2 million to €5 million and focus on the areas of autonomous mobility, AI, VR, and IoT.

“Today, the Nordic startup ecosystem and Japanese blue-chip companies represent something of a missed opportunity in terms of potential growth and cooperation, said Marek Kiisa, Managing Partner at NordicNinja VC. “Japan is still on its way to finding its place in the startup innovation space and this fund is directly designed to support these connections between the Nordics and Asia.”

NordicNinja VC is headquartered in Helsinki but aims to have “an active presence” in all startup hubs across the Baltics and Nordics.
