London-based fintech investment platform Anthemis has closed $90 million for its latest, insurtech-focused fund with the participation of Aflac Global Ventures, Sumitomo Life, Nürnberger Versicherung and Daido Life Insurance Company.
Anthemis has also announced the appointment of Kate Sampson as the Managing Director. She previously held the position of VP of Risk Solutions at Lyft and held various roles at Marsh & McLennan.
Started in 2010, Anthemis is an established fintech investment firm focused on early-stage startups, with a portfolio that includes the likes of Atom, Simple, Monese, eToro, Betterment and Currencycloud.
The firm also boasts offices in New York, Geneva and Luxembourg.
