Israeli startup env0 closes $6.8 million seed round to help DevOps teams manage the cloud

Env0, an Isreali self-service cloud management platform, has raised a $3.5 million seed extension round, bringing the company’s total funding to $6.8 million. Led by Crescendo Venture Partners with participation from M12 and existing investors Boldstart Ventures and Grove Ventures, the round comes just two months after the startup exited stealth mode to introduce a public beta.

The platform provides comprehensive automation and management for DevOps and R&D teams who work in infrastructure-as-code architecture. Developers have self-service access to continue building an app, for example, while managers have oversight to track and control cloud costs, allocate resources, and set schedules. “Infrastructure-as-code is an incredibly powerful way to create cloud resources, but it focuses on the technical aspect rather than the business layer and the impact on cloud cost,” explains CEO and co-founder Ohad Maislish, CEO and co-founder. His company’s software is that business layer.

“env0’s offering around ‘the third datacenter revolution’ is part of the industry trend to streamline DevOps workflows and enable teams to move fast without breaking things,” adds Zvi Schechter, general partner of Crescendo Venture Partners. “The need for self-service has only become clearer in the last few months as everyone has moved into remote teams with unpredictable schedules.”

Headquartered in Tel Aviv, with offices in New York and Silicon Valley, the startup will use the new funds to fuel R&D and go-to-market efforts.
