Poland's Spacelift nabs $1.6 million to get a piece of the growing DevOps optimisation market

Poland-born software startup Spacelift has raised $1.6 million in pre-seed funding from Hoxton Ventures and Inovo Venture Partners.

Co-founded by Marcin Wyszynski (previously Google, Facebook, Deliveroo) and Pawel Hytry (previously Foodpanda, McKinsey, Fitpass), the company has also managed to attract some big-name angel investors, including Ilkka Paananen (Supercell), Vijay Pandurangan (Mitro) and Michael Stoppelman (Yelp).

Basically, the company helps its clients to ship software reliably and more frequently through its "continuous integration and deployment" platform. The company says its custom, Terraform-compatible platform for infra-as-code thus enables collaboration among development teams, ensures control and compliance, and allows teams to fine-tune and automate their workflows.

Its solution also helps its customers lower the costs of maintaining public infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
