Tel Aviv's Exceed.ai raises $4 million for AI assistant that qualifies marketing leads

Tel Aviv-born Exceed.ai has raised $4 million in seed funding to scale its AI-powered marketing assistant. Backers include Glilot Capital, West Fountain Global Fund and some angel investors. The conversational AI assistant automatically qualifies leads through email, webchat and SMS. When a lead is qualified, the assistant books a meeting directly on the corresponding sales representative’s calendar. This allows companies to scale their marketing and sales operations more efficiently and effectively, says the startup. Exceed.ai also says its proprietary natural language processing engine reaches an accuracy rate of 97 percent in understanding a lead’s responses, and is patent-pending for its innovation in the space. Founded in 2017 and currently headquartered in San Francisco, the startup currently serves enterprise clients such as Demandbase, SugarCRM, CBORD and Universal Robots. The new capital will help the business scale to new markets.
