Orca Security lands $55 million Series B to scale cloud-native security platform

Israeli-born scale-up Orca Security has announced $55 million in Series B funding, just after raising over $20 million in a Series A round back in May. The new round was led by ICONIQ Growth with participation from previous backers GGV Capital, YL Ventures, and Silicon Valley CISO Investments. Founded in Tel Aviv, the company has built cloud-native security and compliance solutions for AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform — and plans to grow in all sorts of directions. Over the next year, Orca Security will rapidly grow its headcount, mainly R&D but with a boost to the sales team as well. The company, now headquartered in Los Angeles, plans to open new sales offices in the UK and Australia to serve the European and APAC markets. And finally, the business says it will announce an official partner program in the coming months. The company is particularly focused on building partnerships in its best-performing markets: the US, UK, Germany, Australia and Japan.
