Swiss startup 1plusX gets $7.8 million to expand marketing intelligence platform abroad

Swiss startup 1plusX, makers of a marketing intelligence platform, has secured $7.8 million in the first close of its Series B round. Swisscanto Invest led the funding and were joined by BI.GARAGE, INC and DG Daiwa Ventures from Japan. The platform helps “turn anonymous visitors into profitable audiences”, using AI algorithms that recognise patterns in user behavior. Those patterns are transformed into predictions and meaningful customer insights, which help media companies and marketers make smarter decisions. CEO and co-founder Jürgen Galler, a former product director at Google, says there’s a lot of demand for 1plusX in the US, Japan and elsewhere in Asia. To expand into these new international markets, the startup will use the new funding to bolster its sales and marketing teams. Founded in Zürich in 2014, the martech startup has raised over $17 million to date.
