Open-source developer platform Gitpod has raised $13 million from General Catalyst with participation from Speedinvest, Crane Venture Partners and Vertex Ventures.
Used by more than 350,000 developers worldwide, Gitpod helps automate everything a developer needs in order to start coding. I.e. engineering teams no longer have to manually establish local dev environments, saving hours of time, and allowing applications to be created in record time.

Gitpod removes that friction and is on track to establish an essential new product category in modern software development.”
