Seeking to accomplish two business objectives with one stroke, Hamburg-based social intranet and employee communications platform COYO has acquired people analytics provider Jubiwee. Through the acquisition, COYO marks its first expansion outside the DACH region and adds another tool to its growing, all-encompassing communications platform. No staffing changes are planned and Jubiwee co-founder and CEO Thibaud Martin will remain on board. Financials and terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2016, Jubiwee counts over 40 French blue-chip companies employing its technology to monitor staff motivation and/or to support transformation projects. The goal of the startup has remained simple since its inception: provide a better employee experience, reduce turnover and improve retention.
“The people analytics and overall employee engagement market have grown tremendously in recent months, partly due to the COVID-crisis. Also, customers have grown more mature and demanding,” explained Martin. “To capitalise on this shift, we decided to partner with a strong, renowned, and ambitious company that shares the same values: COYO. Joining forces with COYO is the best way to have a more comprehensive offer and accelerate at this crucial time.”
COYO was founded in 2010 in Hamburg by Jan Marius Marquardt, and helps organisations including Ritter Sport, and Deutsche Bahn power employee engagement and improve workplace culture. The platform counts over 400 customers, resulting in more than 1 million end-users.
“Beyond cool technology there is no better way to start building up a French presence than by teaming up with a French team that has already proven successful and share our values,” said Marquardt. “A capable people analytics solution is instrumental in a truly 360° employee communications offering and will bring a lot of value to customers.”
