Investor interest in the automation software sector is on the rise in Europe (a ton of data and insights here), with more than €4 billion going into promising startups and scale-ups from across the continent in recent years.
UiPath, the global software company for robotic process automation that was founded in Romania more than 15 years ago, is evidently also interested in this trend - albeit from a slightly difference perspective.
A couple of years ago, the company kicked off an annual competition to identify and reward some of the most promising startups and scale-ups in this space.
Now in its third year running, the UiPath Automation Awards are on the hunt for growing automation software companies from the CEE region and Turkey for this year's edition.
We recently hosted a workshop in collaboration with UiPath and our partner Wolves Summit, grilling the company's Laura Moraru and Andrei "Andy" Roth on what the competition entails and how startups can benefit from participating.
You can watch a recording of the session, including a presentation from Roth and interactive Q&A with participants, in full below:
Those who enter UiPath's competition and emerge victoriously can expect their help in levelling up. The company will provide the winners in the startup category of the UiPath Automation Awards with mentorship, a €50,000 cash prize, and substantial tech and marketing support over a period of 12 months.
The scale-up category winners will receive C- level mentorship, sales and marketing support, including the opportunity to present the winning technology to UiPath global clients, and have their winning solutions featured in the UiPath Immersion Lab.
Tech.eu is partnering with UiPath to help stage the competition at the upcoming edition of Wolves Summit, which will take place both online and physically in Wroclaw (Poland), on the 20th of October 2021.
Applications for the UiPath Automation Awards 2021 can be submitted here; you have time until the 1st of September to toss your hat into the ring.
