Old-fashioned CVs don’t give a realistic image of the candidate’s experience and skills. Attempting to change how people measure and discover talent in the online native world is Finnish Web3 startup Kleoverse. It has now raised $1.2 million in funding led by byFounders, Sfermion, and angel investors such as crypto entrepreneur Ville Vesterinen, and Equilibrium, a leading global blockchain agency.
The platform for work in Web3 helps freelancers create a professional identity in Web3. Using blockchain, the startup hands out NFTs to visualise an individual’s Web3 proof-of-talent based on the projects they’ve completed with decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs).
It replaces the need for old-fashioned CVs that don’t give a realistic image of the candidate’s experience and skills. These DAOs offer a vast sphere of different opportunities for many kinds of contributors and don’t have offices, mandatory working hours, corporate politics, or gatekeepers from whom you need to apply for a job. Individuals can work on their own terms, contributing to as many organisations as they want, collecting governance tokens and NFTs as rewards for their work.
Currently, Kleoverse has over 100 DAOs on its platform and a few dozen projects hosted already by the time of its launch, with over 1,000 users signed up to its platform.
Talking about problems in the current status quo of the job-seeking market, Aleksi Löytynoja, Co-Founder, Kleoverse said: “The current ways for talent signaling are inadequate and old-fashioned for our increasingly digital world. The three major problems in the current status quo of the job-seeking market are status measures the past, not the future; status signals are indirect, thus unreliable; people are treated unequally."
“Kleoverse revolutionises how people measure and discover talent in the online native world. Web3 and DAOs act as a perfect environment for this. Permissionless projects and professional portfolios based on actions recorded on blockchain are the first steps towards a more equal, transparent, and remote-first world,” said Joni Karras, Co-Founder of Kleoverse.
Since the number of DAOs is growing extremely rapidly, it’s hard to stay updated on all the latest projects. Kleoverse’s platform is a single source of all DAOs and open Web3 projects on the web. Kleoverse Discovery solves the first problem posed to all individuals in the Web3 space today – how to explore the latest projects and start working in a rapidly emerging field of DAOs.
Martin Krag, Principal at byFounders said: “As investors, we’ve witnessed exceptionally rapid growth of the whole Web3 ecosystem – especially DAOs – during the last year. We believe Kleoverse is perfectly positioned in this emerging market to help millions of new builders to take the leap to Web3 and find meaningful opportunities within internet-native organisations.”
