Belgian HR platform TechWolf notches €10 million to build real-time skill insights

Belgian tech will take centre stage next week at our Tech.eu Summit in Brussels on 17 May. Adding more sheen to the Belgian tech landscape this week is Ghent-based HR tech platform TechWolf, which has raised €10 million in funding.

The Series A round was led by Stride.VC, with participation from Fortino Capital, Acadian Ventures, PMV, Syndicate One and existing investors.

The extra cash will be used by the startup to execute its go-to-market strategy, ramp up international expansion and boost R&D of the product.

Founded in 2018 by Andreas De Neve, Jeroen Van Hautte and Mikaël Wornoo, TechWolf addresses the challenge for large enterprises: a lack of insight into the skills across their workforce, which leads to poor talent management and limited ability to execute on business transformations. Using AI-driven skills intelligence, the startup claims to deliver an instant, up-to-date and unbiased view of skills across the workforce.

Andreas De Neve, CEO and co-founder, TechWolf said: “We want to put people in a position to develop and do the most with their talent. By supplying employees and leadership teams with real-time skill insights, TechWolf facilitates career development and internal mobility. It elevates the HR function from day-to-day operations to a more proactive and strategic role in the business.”

Mikaël Wornoo, COO and co-founder, TechWolf added: “This switch from highly manual, labour-intensive processes means organisations can swiftly obtain skills data, enabling them to future-proof the skillset of their employees.”

“The world of work is shifting rapidly and skills have become the unit of work in forward-looking organisations. TechWolf team has built a platform that empowers enterprises to better leverage skills in their organisation,” concluded Cleo Sham, partner, Stride.VC.

Sham will also be joining us on stage next week.
