Parisian powerhouse Partech has announced a slew of internal promotions. Andrew Whiting ascends to the level of Partner, Laetitia Marcadé and Luis Zarate now add Senior Associate to the titles, and Alexis Lancien is now an Associate.
Prior to joining Partech in 2020, Andrew Whiting served as vice president at Clairvest Group in Toronto and was a Principal at London’s Zouk Capital. Rolling things all the way back, Whiting began his career in 2006 with NM Rothschild & Sons when he serves as assistant director advising on over $50 billion of M&A and restructuring projects.
At Partech he led the team investing in unicorn e-grocer Rohlik, as well as B2B SaaS e-commerce enablement platform Channable.
“It is an honour to join the partnership,” commented Andrew. “When I was first approached by Partech, the team’s ambition and investment strategy resonated with me. Two years in, I continue to be impressed by the team; our principled and disciplined approach has resulted in an exceptional portfolio. I’m excited to continue to support Europe’s next generation of technology leaders.”
Also joining Partech in 2020, senior associate Laetitia Marcadé cut her teeth in M&A at Natixis Partners, as well as working the field of business development at private bank risk-assessment questionnaires maker Neuroprofiler.
Partech’s additional new senior associate Luis Zarate joined the firm in 2021, arriving from his position as analyst in the Technology group at J.P. Morgan in London. Prior to J.P. Morgan Zarate served as a consultant at PwC, and as an analyst at NGO Endeavor.
“It is a real pleasure to announce the promotion of Laetitia, Luis, and Alexis today,” commented Omri Benayoun and Bruno Crémel, General Partners at Partech. “They have demonstrated a high level of intensity, curiosity and team spirit. They listen to feedback and are constantly willing to improve. They share our passion to work with founders. We are looking forward to helping them grow into their better selves!”
And last, but certainly not least, Partech welcomes Alexis Lancien to the role of associate. Having completed a double degree between Ecole Polytechnique and HEC Paris, Lancien holds a masters degree in Data Science. As a former data scientist at IQVIA's Analytics department and co-founder at Kera Medical, Lancien will focus his efforts on B2B Enterprise plays, especially companies in data infrastructure or leveraging data and/or machine learning as a differentiator.
