Munich-based start-up comstruct has received €1.2 million pre-seed investment. The start-up wants to take the step into the German market with its platform for purchasing construction materials.

Investing in the round are Rivus Capital and Another.vc. Angel investors include German football star Mario Götze, foodspring founder Tobias Schuele, Schüttflix founder Christian Hülsewig and Procuros founder Patrick Thelen.

Founded in 2022, comstruct is developing a platform where construction companies can digitise and automate material purchasing. All delivery bills, invoices and purchase orders can be exchanged digitally with suppliers, also processes like invoice verification. All purchasing process data is made available for documentation, evaluation and process optimisation.

"B2B transactions are already digitised in many verticals through EDI platforms," says Patrick Thelen, founder and CEO of Procuros. "comstructs' ability to digitise transactions in an industry with a lack of IT infrastructure excited me right away."

The comstruct platform is currently in use at the large scale construction project, the Gotthard Tunnel in Switzerland.

"For us, a source-to-pay platform for purchasing is one of the most important steps towards implementing construction projects more cheaply, quickly and sustainably," says Henric Meinhardt, co-founder of comstruct.
