Roibox, a Riga-based provider of geospatial analytics for digital advertising, has been acquired by Italian business consulting and services firm Jakala. Financials of the deal remain undisclosed, but sources close to the matter indicate that Jakala has acquired a majority stake in Roibox at 53 percent.
The acquisition of Roibox serves to further complement Jakala’s product offering and is expected to fully integrate the former’s location data-focused advertising platform. In so much, Jakala customers will be able to leverage territorial data, data (via APIs) from the likes of Google, Meta, Programmatic Platforms, Connected Televisions, and first-party data into one end-to-end digital media planning solution.
Furthermore, the integration of Roibox's suite of data products aims to elevate performance outcomes across various use cases including the improvement of customer engagement, refinement and optimisation of advertising campaigns, and according to the company, completely revising traditional attribution models.
On the acquisition, Roibox founder and CEO Jēkabs Endziņš shared:
“Our mission is to help businesses around the world adopt and utilise geospatial analytics in their marketing, enabling greater marketing transparency and better return on investment.
“We share JAKALA's excitement about the growth of geospatial analytics, and we're delighted to join forces with a group of people who not only share our passion for driving game-changing innovation in marketing services but will also help bring this technology to a far wider audience.”
