A4ord, a Germany-based startup, announced today the launch of its online marketplace catalog to address challenges in the European service industry. The online booking platform is designed to solve the problem of easily finding and booking the most popular services for consumers.
The platform facilitates matchmaking between small and medium businesses, freelancers, and users of a wide range of popular services in the EU, offering a seamless experience and easy online booking and payment solutions.
How does it work?
It offers services across six major service groups:
- Home/Car,
- Children,
- Pets,
- Health/Beauty,
- Personal Development, and
- Expats.
Users can quickly select available times and locations for services. Unlike existing solutions, A4ord targets a wide range of popular retail services in the most common languages.
Support for frustrated consumers and SMEs
The company supports struggling SMEs.
Providers benefit from getting access to new clients brought to the platform by A4ord's experienced digital marketing team, making the marketplace a single point of digital presence for service providers.
A4ord also aims to solve the notorious appointment scheduling issue in Germany and other European countries, where waiting times for services can stretch for months, and to cater to the underserved yet large expat community in the EU.
"We believe that properly used technologies can improve everyday life. And that's exactly what we're doing in A4ord. Instead of creating and maintaining their own websites and running marketing campaigns, dealing with appointments and payment processing, service providers can focus entirely on their customers. Unlike many other platforms A4ord's strong marketing team is constantly running marketing campaigns to bring new buyers. It helps service providers to grow their business fast and save a lot of time and money", says one of the managing founders, Evgeny Vigovsky.
The built-in online payment solutions comply with EU PSD2, through partnerships with two licensed payment service providers from the Netherlands.
Kazakhstan's EA Group Investment Fund has become a strategic investor in A4ord. According to Erik Aubakirov, CEO of EA Group:
"A4ord's innovative use of technology to address real-world problems aligns perfectly with our investment thesis. We see significant potential in its unique blend of market dynamics and fintech solutions."
Currently, over 400 service providers have joined the platform, offering services in English, German, and Russian. In the near future, the platform plans to introduce financing options, like enhanced BNPL for buyers through A4ord's own mobile fintech products.
