Bigger Games secures $25M to redefine fun in mobile gaming

Istanbul-based Bigger Games, has raised $25 million in Series A funding to accelerate its vision of emotionally resonant, globally scalable mobile games.

Bigger Games is a mobile gaming studio founded in 2019, with a simple mission - to make fun feel effortless, impactful, and meaningful. The team specialises in crafting intuitive, emotionally engaging casual games, most notably Kitchen Masters, a social cooking puzzle designed to bring players together.

The investment comes at a key moment for Turkey’s growing gaming ecosystem, which continues to draw global attention and investment after a series of major successes and exits. Bigger Games is carving its own lane by focusing on a unique player insight: fun is a feeling, not just a gameplay mechanic.

Hakan Ulvan, CEO and co-founder of Bigger Games, said:

We are not just building games, we are building emotion engines. We believe the next wave of mobile gaming will be won by studios that create meaningful, memorable experiences with every swipe. This funding is a launchpad for us to scale that vision globally.

The round was led by Goodwater Capital, and joined by Arcadia Gaming Partners, the newly launched fund from Akın Babayiğit, cofounder of Tripledot Studios, one of Europe’s fastest-growing mobile gaming companies. Index Ventures and Play Ventures also participated in the round.

Babayiğit, who has worked closely with the Bigger team since its earliest days, commented:

Hakan and the Bigger team embody all the qualities that make the Turkish games ecosystem what it is today: Scary smart, super hungry, unwilling to settle or compromise, and incredibly creative and analytical. I have had the pleasure of being on this journey with Hakan from the beginning, and watching him evolve into the truly exceptional founder (and person) he is today. The sky is the limit for the whole team, and I can’t wait to see what they will achieve.

Ulvan added:

It’s great that, with Arcadia, the entire ecosystem now has the opportunity to work with Akın, someone who brings real mentorship, genuine integrity, and unwavering support.

Kitchen Masters shows early retention and engagement metrics that exceed industry benchmarks. The game combines lively gameplay with a finely tuned sense of player empowerment, core elements of the studio’s design philosophy.

Ulvan said that every swipe in Kitchen Masters is meant to feel impactful and satisfying, adding:

We obsess over emotional momentum, the feeling of progress, mastery, and joy. This funding lets us take that philosophy to new platforms, new genres, and a much bigger audience.

As part of the round, Coddy Johnson, Partner at Goodwater Capital, joins Bigger’s Board of Directors.  Coddy was formerly the President of the video game industry juggernaut Activision Blizzard.

Backed by a growing team in Istanbul, a global network of investors, and a product-first approach grounded in emotional design, Bigger Games is emerging as a strong contender in the future of mobile gaming.
