Bigger Games, an Istanbul-based mobile gaming startup, has raised a $6 million seed round to build ‘a world-class studio for casual puzzle games’. The company was founded by three former team members of Peak Games, the game developer acquired by Zynga for $1.8 billion earlier this summer.
Index Ventures, which has a record of backing game companies like Supercell, King, Roblox and Discord, led the seed round. Pre-seed investor Play Ventures and Unity founder David Helgason also participated. Founded last year, the Turkish startup says its games have already been downloaded over 75 million times. With the new investment, the company will focus on creating and distributing more games, as well as growing the team, primarily in product and marketing. Photo: Bigger Games team
