Dutch software startup AxonIQ raises €6 million from AXA Venture partners to boost growth

AxonIQ, an Amsterdam-based software startup that lets developers build Java-based applications on its platform for event-based micro-service systems, has raised €6 million.

The Series A round was led by AXA Venture Partners, and will serve to expand the young company's engineering and commercial teams to accelerate growth, particularly in the US. Prior backer Volta Ventures participated in the round.

François Robinet, Managing Partner of AXA Venture Partners, said:

"We are very excited to work with the team to support the growth of AxonIQ. What they and their team have achieved so far is very impressive. We share their vision that event-driven architecture is the next big thing for companies, big or small, that migrate their IT architecture to microservices. This allows native auditability, which is critical for many industries. The quality of their tech stack is very impressive and we are very honored to join the AxonIQ journey."

AxonIQ was founded in 2017, and says it works with a distributed team located across the globe.
