VC firm Peak has been on a roll as of late. Earlier this summer, the traditionally Benelux region-focused fund announced its plans to get down with the German market, and now, seasoned investor Indra Sharma has been appointed to the position of Partner, opening the firm’s Stockholm office.
With an impressive CV that includes roles with Swedish fintech unicorn Bambora, portfolio investments in Natural Cycles, Traplight, Einride, and Lassie, and now arriving from the venture arm of Nordic conglomerate Axel Johnson, its a fair statement to make that Indra knows the landscape, and is a major win for Peak.
Indra will be joined by Calin Fabri, Peak’s Head of Sourcing Nordics in the Stockholm office. Fabri led Peak’s investment in Heja, was a driving force behind Norway’s No Isolation expansion, and brings to the table an extensive background in investment banking.
“After our two successful investments in the Swedish companies Heja and Precisely, we are very happy to offer more Nordic founders access to the truly entrepreneurial platform Peak offers,” commented Peak’s Johan van Mil. “We also welcome Indra Sharma to our team and her vast expertise in the Nordic tech scene. Having a team with local presence in the Nordics is part of our core since we strongly believe in staying close to founders and supporting with both international and local knowledge."
