The French homemade meal delivery startup Frichti has just completed a third round of €30 million. The new capital comes from Verlinvest, Felix Capital, and its existing shareholders Alven Capital and Idinvest Partners. To date, the startup has raised a total of €43 million.
Founded in June 2015 by Julia Bijaoui and Quentin Vacher, the foodtech startup has grown from 100 to 300 employees in one year, and claims to have tens of thousands of customers. The startup says its deliveries have increased from more than 500 meals a day in November 2015 to several thousand today.
"We really see Frichti as more than a delivery company. Our mission is to reconnect the hyperactive city dweller with good eating, in particular getting beyond the cliché of the sandwich lunch behind their computer," explains Julia Bijaoui, as reported by Maddyness.
The new funding will allow the startup to grow throughout France and internationally. Frichti will also continue to develop its offer, in order to extend it to families in particular.
