Looking to help a new generation of hybrid companies maximise in-person collaborations and minimise office and admin costs, Seatti has secured €500,000 in pre-seed funding via Peak, HPI Seed Fund, and angel investor Dr. Ralph Mueller. The capital will be used to ramp up sales and engineering teams, build out new product features, and fuel customer growth.
Truly a product of the pandemic, Seatti was founded in 2020 by Christopher Bieri, Johannes Eppler, and Moritz Hartmann and began life as a marketplace that helped individuals find remote workstations in unused spaces. However, the team quickly realised that the biggest challenge in the new world of work wasn’t the discovery of new spaces, but the management of the old spaces.
Since launching the SaaS platform in February of this year, Seatti has signed some heavy hitters including Osram, Sartorius, and BDO to its client roster, and clocks some 10,000+ employees using the service on a weekly basis.
“The last year and a half have pushed the shift to hybrid models at a previously unimaginable pace – 92% of companies will now transition to a hybrid workforce,” commented CEO Christopher Bieri. “We make sure that every employee always knows where there is a desk available, which colleagues are working nearby and when they can meet up in person. At the same time, companies can employ this work location data to develop their ideal workplace strategy and reduce office costs.”
Seatti is, however, far from alone in the space, with a number of other players offering a number of additional options and services. As just one example, a few months prior we covered long-standing smart office player Mapiq’s €10 million round and their successful integration of hybrid office management functionality.
On the investment, Peak’s Johan van Mil commented, “We don’t believe offices are a thing of the past. People will still want to meet and collaborate in person, it will just no longer be the default option. Software will be necessary to manage the hybrid workforce and get insights on office capacities. This way companies can optimise office space while offering flex-desks to connect their workforce. We believe Seatti will cater to those needs.”
