The Swedish company provides video-based doctor consultations for patients via an app. It will invest the money into reaching new markets; it’s currently available in Sweden, Norway, and Spain. Where the company will expand into will depend on the regulatory environment in each country, the company said.
According to KRY, 90% of doctor consultations can be done online, which frees up physical clinics for other appointments and procedures. Video consultation can address the needs of people living in remote areas far from clinics, it added. The app currently has around 200 doctors onboard.
“Our main priority is always to build a service that allows patients equal access to healthcare on their own terms,” said CEO Johannes Schildt.
“KRY brings tremendous efficiencies and cost savings to the healthcare system while providing much needed access to timely healthcare for consumers,” commented Accel’s Sonali de Rycker, who is joining KRY’s board. The company previously raised a seed round of €6.1 million last year.
