Telefónica Tech buys iHackLabs, will integrate team and software into ElevenPaths

Telefónica Tech, through its cybersecurity company ElevenPaths, has acquired iHackLabs, a UK company specialised in cybersecurity testing and training. Details of the deal were not disclosed.

iHackLabs is a company that identifies, teaches, trains and validates the skills of cybersecurity professionals. The SaaS platform offers cloud-based training programs and labs that simulate real cyber threat situations, adapted to the specific needs of clients across multiple sectors.

With a presence in London and Madrid, iHackLabs has collaborated with ElevenPaths since 2018. That year, ElevenPaths actually advised Wayra, Telefónica's global open innovation hub, to invest in the UK startup. Now the startup's team and product will be integrated into ElevenPath.

The acquisition is part of the Spanish telecom's larger growth strategy. Telefónica Tech also recently bought Govertis, a company specialising in cybersecurity consulting.
