tech.eu was recently in Cologne and paid a visit to the offices of Eyeo, a relatively unknown startup that is behind the single most popular browser extension ever developed: Adblock Plus.

We had a chat with Till Faida, Eyeo’s co-founder and CEO, as well as a number of other people to put together an extensive profile on the company. We also had the chance to sit down with Faida at Eyeo’s offices and do a quick video interview, which you can view above.

In the interview, Faida talks about the latest usage and download numbers for Adblock Plus, how the company makes money and plans to make more, and his general thoughts on how content should be monetised and why it matters for the survival of the Internet ecosystem.
