Belgium's Dobco Medical Systems raises €2.2 million for its medical data exchange platform

Belgian medical imaging startup Dobco Medical Systems has secured a €2.2 million funding round from Fortino Capital to fuel its international expansion.

Founded in 2011, Dobco has developed the PACSonWEB platform, is used in nine out of ten Flemish hospitals. The cloud platform offers an efficient way for all involved parties to exchanges medial images and reports.

The company will use the fresh funding to expand its operations in Belgium and enter the markets of Norway, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France and Cyprus.

“Together with Fortino Capital, Dobco Medical Systems can take the next step and further scale up the company,” said Jan Dobbenie, CEO at Dobco Medical Systems. “Thanks to Fortino Capital's knowledge of Software-as-a-Service, as well as their experience in putting companies on the map in an international context.”

Dobco Medical Systems employs a team of 24 people and has a yearly turnover of some €3 million.
