Italian data analytics startup FinScience has raised a seed round of €1 million from a number of angel investors whose names have not been disclosed.

Milan-based FinScience, founded earlier this year, is a data analytics platform for the financial sector. Using AI algorithms, the platform collects and analyses large amounts of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, both in the medium and long term.

The new funds will be invested in the platform’s commercial launch and growing its tech team for further product development.

The company was founded by former senior managers at Google Italy with a background in big data management and intelligence.
