Coworking space Mindspace raises $15 million to expand across Europe and the US

Coworking space Mindspace has raised $15 million in a Series A round. The names of the investors have not been disclosed.

The Israeli company plans to expand across Europe and the US and intends to open five new locations to house startups and creatives.

It currently has coworking spaces in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Tel Aviv and Herzliya and hopes to bring its member numbers up to 5,000. With the expansion the company said it will eventually have spaces covering 350,000 square feet.

“We are excited to announce this new funding and new Mindspace locations,” said CEO Dan Zakai. “With the funding, we plan to enter the US market, while continuing to expand and strengthen our presence in Europe.”

Its chief competitor is WeWork, which has dozens of locations globally, including several across the US.
