Travel tech startup TravelPerk has raised $21 million led by Target Global and Felix Capital with participation from Spark Capital, Sunstone Capital, and Amplo.
TravelPerk is a SaaS-based booking and management platform for business travel, a category worth around $1.25 trillion. The end to end platform allows business to book and pay for all aspects of trips from flights to hotels. It integrates with the likes of Booking.com, Expedia, Skyscanner, and Airbnb.
The Barcelona-based company claims to have seen a 1,200% revenue growth year-on-year, amassing one thousand customers including Typeform, TransferWise, and CityJet. Total funding now stands at $30 million.
“Until now, businesses had to choose between two bad options: either antiquated enterprise solutions or an alphabet soup of ad hoc consumer tools,” said CEO Avi Meir, who has much experience in the travel tech space having sold his last company Hotel Ninjas to Booking.com in 2014.
“We went back to first principles instead to design the world’s best experience for travelers, business administrators and finance managers, alike,” he said.
The new funds will be invested in hiring software engineers and doubling its overall headcount to 200. It plans to open three to five new offices globally by next year.
