Former managing director of Google UK raises $6.1 million for new fintech startup SalaryFinance

An emerging London-based fintech startup called SalaryFinance has raised $6.1 million in financing from Brightbridge Ventures. The company allows employees to consolidate debts and reduce interest costs by making repayments via salary deduction in the UK.

Notably, the startup was founded by Dan Cobley, who used to run Google in the UK, alongside former banking consultant Asesh Sarkar and entrepreneur Daniel Shakhani.

In a twist, Cobley had actually co-founded SalaryFinance's new investor, which is really a fintech startup studio that's part of Blenheim Chalcot, a few months ago after leaving Google.

Brightbridge Ventures has two other ventures in its stable, ClearScore.com and BusinessFinanceCompared.com.
