Lanieri, which sells custom Italian-made men's clothing online, got started with an initial €1.5 million investment from Italian wool producer Reda in 2013. Now Reda has upped the ante by putting another €3 million into the fledgling online retailer.

Lanieri allows its customers to select custom fabrics and order a custom made suit online that is delivered to their home within four weeks. Co-founders Simone Maggi and Riccardo Schiavotto say the company has served more than 5,000 customers to date who have ordered suits, shirts, tuxedos and coats.

With the latest funding, the startup specifically plans to tackle the Belgian market and on Nov. 30 plans to launch a Belgian web site and physical shop in Brussels.
