Event platform Conferize raises $2.4 million in new funding

Danish event management platform Conferize has raised $2.4 million to further develop its SaaS product for event organizers.

The fresh investment comes from former group CEO of Falck, Allan Søgaard Larsen, who will now be appointed president of Conferize’s board, and former CEO of Oticon, Lars Kolind.

The startup has developed a SaaS cloud-based event management system for events and conferences, with functions like ticket selling and communications with delegates.

“In my opinion, developing and operating an Event Management System creates significant value, as it makes it easier to organize social events,” commented Larsen. “Moreover, participants and speakers are able to share knowledge and create strong networks across channels – not just during the actual event, but also before and after.”

“During the past five years Conferize has managed to build a solid foundation, and this capital increase will strengthen the company’s ambition of becoming a global company – based in Denmark,” added Kolind.
